Dry mouth, a conditional also known as xerostomia, is reported
to affect a third of the US adult population. There are two
main causes for xerostomia. Saliva production naturally decreases as
we grow older. The second most common cause is medication. More than 600 different types
of medication site dry mouth as a common side effective.
Medication for everything from allergy to blood pressure can lead to xerostomia.
While not as popular as aging and medication, there are
other possible causes of dry mouth including dehydration, chemotherapy, Sjogrens Syndrome, Parkinson's Disease,
diabetes and a variety of autoimmune diseases.
Brush your teeth after every meal. In addition, clean your
tongue by scraping it with your toothbrush. It may not seem easy
at first and you will surely gag every now and then but
with constant practice, that will all go away.
In addition to cleaning your tongue, flossing is also a great way of getting rid of those meat particles that get stuck in between your
teeth. Meat that gets stuck in between your teeth and stays there overtime will surely
contribute to bad smell. It's like rotting meat I tell you!
